The Sickle Cell Center, operated by the Edo State Hospital Management Agency, is a state-of-the-art facility established to address the unique healthcare needs of individuals living with sickle cell disease (SCD) in Edo State and its surrounding regions. Our mission is to enhance the health and well-being of individuals with sickle cell disease through the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based care, advocacy, and education. Diagnosis and Genetic Counseling: Our center offers comprehensive diagnostic services, including newborn screening, genetic testing, and counseling for individuals and families affected by SCD.

Comprehensive Medical Care: We provide a wide range of medical services tailored to the needs of patients with SCD, including preventive care, routine screenings, management of acute and chronic complications, and specialized treatments such as hydroxyurea therapy and blood transfusions.
